Deep Tissue Massage

Deep Tissue Massage focuses on the deeper layers of the muscle tissue. The goal is to release the chronic patterns of tension in the body with slow movements and deep pressure on the contracted areas. Deep Tissue Massage uses many of the same movements and techniques as Swedish Massage, but it aims to release deeply-held patterns of tensions. It is both corrective and therapeutic in nature and can focus on a specific area of the body. It has been proven to ease the damage of physical problems that arise from injuries, repetitive use or an accumulation of stress. It feels good and can be beneficial to your health. When muscles are stressed, they block oxygen and nutrients, leading to inflammation that builds up toxins in the muscle tissue. A deep-tissue massage helps loosen muscle tissue, release toxins from the muscles and get blood and oxygen circulating, leading to a feeling of health and well-being.
