Stretch Rehabilitation

Stretch Rehabilitation is a form of therapy used to counteract lack of flexibility. It helps increase and maintain complete range of motion of the joints, relieves muscular soreness, improves capacity for activity and relieves muscle and joint stiffness. Muscles and joints can become inflexible due to weakness, injury or joint immobilization as well as from repetitive motion that causes constrictions. The effects of aging and inactivity can also contribute to restrictions. Stretch Rehabilitation can increase extensibility which helps protect muscles from pulls and tears, helps prevent strains and re-injury, provides greater potential for physical and athletic skills, and reduces tightness which may cause pain, spasm or cramping. It is an essential tool in muscle recovery, promoting growth and repair by increasing the flow of blood, oxygen and nutrients to tissues before and after activity.
